Slovak television, film and theater actress and singer Zuzana Mauréry she was one of the contestants in the tenth series of the popular marquee show Let’s Dance. She went through demanding trainings and performances, but only now in an interview for the magazine she admitted that she struggled with health problems during the competition.
The artist performed alongside dance partner Matej Chren, who returned to the Let’s Dance show after 14 years and he certainly did not hide his enthusiasm. Before that, he performed in 2011 alongside presenter Janka Hospodárová, with whom they won the titles of king and queen of the dance floor.
Mauréry was one of the favorites from the beginning, mainly thanks to the experience gained from the past, as she won the Showdance competition in 2010. Finally, the pair were eliminated in the fifth round, but the actress did not hide her disappointment as she felt that they still had something to show. Nevertheless, she appreciated the support of the audience and the jury, which accompanied them throughout the competition and gave them motivation for each performance.
It wasn’t until a few months after appearing in the dance show that she admitted that she suffered a cracked rib during the competition, although she still doesn’t know how it happened. “When I had it ruptured, I actually only suspected it, I didn’t have it confirmed. It wasn’t until I had a “bump” there that they confirmed to me at rehabilitation that it had ruptured.” admitted.
Health complications caught her at the most inopportune time, but she decided to continue and managed all the performances without anyone noticing that she was in pain. “Because it was during the dance show Let’s Dance, normally I danced with it, I just didn’t know how to take a deep breath and cough. Then it hurt “like fras”” she recalled a difficult period.
