The sports journalist Farid Germano Filho (@faridgermano) celebrated this Monday (02/02) an important milestone in its digital trajectory: the achievement of 615 thousand followers combined between Instagram and YouTube. The post, published in the early afternoon, quickly went viral on social media, due to the style of the image.
The publication, which features an aesthetic in shades of gray and features the journalist’s profile photo, accumulated 1,335 comments on Instagram in five hours. In the caption, the inscription was used: “Eternal gratitude to the followers! Reverence 3X!”, an expression that has already become the communicator’s trademark.
The text of the image highlighted: “Through this post, we came to inform Farid’s followers that the Farid Germano Filho Channel has just reached the milestone of 615 thousand followers combined on the social networks Instagram and Youtube. Eternal gratitude to our followers!! REVERENCE 3X!”
Despite the commemorative nature of the post, the format and language used generated scares among followers. The use of third person in the message (“inform Farid’s followers”) and the more sober aesthetic of the post deviated from the usual pattern of the communicator’s publications. Farid, however, is in good health. The communicator is 59 years old and will turn 60 on March 9th.

Farid Germano Filho is the son of the pioneer of Gaucho sports journalism Farid Germano, who died in 2012 at the age of 88. Currently, in addition to his own social networks and his own YouTube channel, the communicator presents a program on RSPlay TV alongside journalist Nando Gross.
