One of the well-known names in sports narration on SporTV, Eduardo Moreno is no longer part of Grupo Globo after 27 years of experience with the channel. The professional narrated matches from the 2002 World Cup, the Paris Olympic Games and other participations in attractions such as Esporte Espetacular.
Why did Eduardo Moreno leave Globo?
According to Folha de São Paulo, the departure of the professional, considered one of SporTV’s historic names, caused surprise behind the scenes and was confirmed by the narrator himself through an internal email sent to co-workers during the night. The broadcaster opted to dismiss the professional.
Hired in 1999, Eduardo Moreno built practically his entire career at Grupo Globo, with most of his work at SporTV, where he became a frequent voice in sports broadcasts, especially in club games in Rio de Janeiro and in the volleyball Super League, a competition in which he was a constant presence on the rosters.
At the beginning of January, Odinei Ribeiro left the company after working since 2008. At the end of last month, Marcio Meneghini, known mainly for broadcasting Series B of the Brazilian Championship, resigned.

Where does Eduardo Moreno go after leaving Globo?
It is not yet known what the narrator’s next move will be. Two professionals who recently left the broadcaster followed the same path: both Odinei Ribeiro and Marcio Meneghini later signed Canal Goat, a sports project that gained popularity on YouTube.
