USA approves new deep-water oil export port in Texas


Austin (Texas)/Mexico City/Washington – The US government has approved the construction of a new deep-water port for oil exports off the coast of Texas. The “Texas GulfLink” project will allow the export of up to one million barrels of crude oil per day, Transportation Minister Sean Duffy announced on Tuesday. The project is part of President Donald Trump’s administration’s efforts to strengthen the US oil industry and production. The deep-water port will be built 26.6 nautical miles off the coast of Brazoria County, Texas.
