Barbora Balúchová (38) became known to the public in 2006, when she became a finalist in the singing show Slovakia is looking for a Superstar. The sympathetic blonde charmed the well-known father of multiples, Boris Kollár (60), to whom she gave birth to his tenth child, Alexander Ján (9), in 2017.
The blonde, who made a living as a presenter for a while, really scared her followers on the social network with a picture from the hospital environment. “A lump in my breast. The fear… paralyzing. Thoughts you don’t want to have, but they come on their own. I went on a sono IMMEDIATELY.” she wrote chilling words.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, accounting for more than a fifth of all female oncological diagnoses. Approximately 3,500 new cases and approximately 1,000 women die each year in Slovakia. Experts consider the fact that only around 29 percent of women aged 50 to 69 undergo mammography screening to be alarming.
Regular breast self-examination and more than 60 percent participation of women in screening mammography examinations can reduce the death rate from breast cancer by up to a third.
“Mammographic screening can show a suspicious finding even several years before it becomes clinically apparent. Regular breast self-examination, which every woman can do once a month, also plays an invaluable role. while it is important to perform it always on the same day according to the menstrual cycle or during menopause on the same calendar day of the month,” said Viera Lehotská, chief expert of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic for radiology and head of the second radiology clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of the Comenius University and St. Elizabeth’s Oncology Institute (OUSA).
