Aiache admite reação e defende corte nos salários de secretários

Although the president of councilor (Union) denies the existence of a project to reduce the salaries of municipal secretaries, councilor Aiache (PP) stated this Wednesday (4) that there is, indeed, the possibility of parliament presenting a proposal in this regard.

In a press interview, Aiache said that the idea arises as a reaction to Mayor Tião Bocalom’s decision to reduce the value of parliamentary amendments intended for councilors.

“It’s in the field of ideas, right? Since we have to save, make savings, this is a very significant thing, a very big saving for our municipality. So, since the secretary is earning twice as much as a councilor, it’s a good economy”, he stated.

The councilor also stated that the city hall needs to establish priorities when defining where there will be cuts in the budget.

“Take it away from the amendments, take it away from the secretaries, who can do it. That’s just a matter of having priority. If there’s priority, we can do it. Let’s try to help our city hall here. How can we help? By saving money. What’s an idea to save money? First, by cutting some of the secretaries’ funds, who start to save money. So, if you have to cut the amendments, cut the salary, right? That saves everything, right? Take this resource that’s saving, fill the hole, make a branch, do asphalt, build a bridge”, he concluded.
