Austrians spend 85 euros on Valentine’s Day gifts

More than two thirds (68 percent) of Austrians plan to give someone a gift for Valentine’s Day this year. According to the current Consumer Check by the trade association in cooperation with Reppublika Research, an average of 85 euros per person is spent on Valentine’s Day gifts. Last year, those surveyed were significantly more economical at 70 euros. The retailer hopes for sales of around 200 million euros.
