Abin files lawsuit against intelligence agent with YouTube channel

Glauber Mendonça has been on leave since the beginning of 2025, but continues to create videos for the platform normally

The Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin) initiated administrative disciplinary proceedings against a technical intelligence officer, Glauber Mendonça, who has a YouTube channel while on medical leave receiving a salary.

The channel is called “Fala Glauber Podcast” and has 3.21 million subscribers until this Friday (6). The video schedule is divided into daily content publications, divided into podcasts, cuts from these programs, among other content.

According to reports from close colleagues, he has been on leave since the beginning of 2025, but continues to create videos for the channel as a professional activity.

In the videos he presents himself as a federal criminal police officer and says that his content is to give tips to candidates in the security area. However, in practice, it uses the platform to criticize politicians and comments on public safety. In 2024, the Brazilian Court had already ordered the suspension of some of its contents due to dissemination of hate speech and abuse of the right to freedom of expression.

Glauber was notified of the process last week, a period that begins the period for his mandatory statement. He must be held responsible for not carrying out his role in a coherent and dedicated manner and for carry out incompatible activities with the exercise assigned to him and the working hours.

Despite the complaint, Mendonça continues with the production and dissemination of videos on your channel normally and has employees for the work.
