The team responsible for the participant’s social networks Alberto Cowboydo BBB 26, published on Friday (6) a note against hate attacks and accusations of crimes against his brother on the web.

The accusations began on the internet due to episodes of closeness with participant Gabriela Saporito. Internet users remember conversations considered malicious by those confined.

The right of one ends where the right of the other begins“, the note begins, “We are talking directly about freedom of expression, personal opinions and untruths created from different interpretations. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but this right is not absolute and implies responsibility. Opinion does not authorize defamation and, when speech reaches third parties in this way, it generates consequences, including legal ones”.

They continue to explain what happened between the participants: “What we have seen in the last 24 hours is a herd effectin which images and clippings become worth more than facts. In a reality show, this intensifies, with collective interpretations gaining traction in the media, even when they don’t correspond to reality.”

The text also talks about Gabriela: “From the beginning, the participant Gabriela was placed in a place of , despite being an adult woman, capable and responsible for her own choices. Alberto, in turn, has been constantly read based on personal projections. At all times, he appears to be an older, mature, calm, polite and respectful man towards the collective.”

Finally, they said that they are attentive to the accusations and that they will take action in relation to them: “We will continue to adopt the appropriate measures against defamatory people, as baseless suspicions do not protect anyone: they only feed stigmas, generate symbolic violence, distort relationships and put reputations at risk to support biased narratives”.
