As it became known on Friday, the Austrian publisher Leykam will no longer publish literature, children’s books and popular non-fiction books from 2027. Author Michael Stavarić rushed ahead with a post about this on Facebook, the publisher followed suit on social media and cites “economic reasons” as the cause. It was decided to concentrate on “the other program priorities (particularly science and pedagogy)” instead of the “public book”.
