“The Brazilian Communist Party – PCB, in consensus with its militancy, chose to dispute the . We understand that even with its limits, a state government can act as a collective instrument that must be at the service of the people for social transformation. Always in defense of rights and a dignified life for workers”, says the beginning of the note.
The acronym directly criticizes the current state government, led by Gladson Cameli, and classifies the administration as a “right-wing conservative project”. According to the party, the administration privileges “millionaires to the detriment of the majority of Acreans”.
The PCB also questions the electoral financing model in the country. For the party, disputes were no longer centered on democracy and began to be influenced by the volume of resources invested in campaigns. In another section, the PCB states that part of the population is being convinced by far-right speeches and mentions national scandals involving politicians. The party also accuses the current state government of scrapping schools, privatizing healthcare, dismantling public services and using commissioned positions as a form of political accommodation.
“This is not the result of chance. It is a deliberate political choice: luxury for your people and neglect for workers”, concludes the party.
So far, the PCB has not announced the name that will represent the party in the dispute for Palácio Rio Branco.
