While Tarcísio’s management works with Pablo Nobel, PT maintains negotiations with Otávio Antunes
Campaigns from the right and the left have been monitoring points considered sensitive in the dispute for the government of São Paulo. The assessment is that some topics such as Free Flow toll system and the privatization of Sabesp they can gain spotlight throughout the electoral process and influence the debate between candidates.
On the PT side, which does not yet have a defined candidate, but is already working on negotiations with marketer Otávio Antunes, these issues are already being used on a recurring basis. Councilors and deputies have used images of the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), linked to higher toll charges, water bill and rationing. To the left, Free Flow, for example, talks about the idea of increasing the cost of traveling on the roads.
Already evaluation of the Palácio dos Bandeirantes, not so much, to early use of these resources can be “tiring”, causing the points to lose strength during the electoral campaign. The subjects are seen, however, as themes with potential for exhaustion and mobilization, depending on the way they are explored. Sabesp would be the most delicate topic – and answers have already been thought up by marketer, Pablo Nobel.
Another axis observed by the teams is the narrative surrounding the management of the current head of the São Paulo Executive. The reading is that opponents must insist on the argument that he presents himself as a “governor of finished works”initiated by previous administrations, and which has not made its own deliveries to date. Palácio dos Bandeirantes should invest precisely in inverting this: that of the image of the governor who “did the impossible”, a slogan that has been used since last year. The understanding is that Tarcísio managed to unlock works that had been stopped for years.
If the candidate from the left is indeed the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad – which continues to be the favorite, as the column showed – the tendency is for the debate becomes more nationalized. Economic issues should be on the agenda, in addition to problems in the capital of São Paulo that were not resolved by Haddad when he was mayor, such as Cracolândia – Tarcísio should bet on the end of the flow as something “impossible” that was done.
