The death of two brothers in () caused a strong commotion and repercussion on social media this week. The children were allegedly shot by their own father, identified as Thales Machado, who holds the position of municipal government secretary in the municipality.
According to information released by the local press, Miguel, aged 11, died after being shot in the early hours of Thursday (12). His brother, Benício, was also hit. Relatives reported that the boy entered the brain death protocol, but so far there is no official confirmation on his health status.
The case gained even more repercussion after the release of images of Miguel’s funeral, held at around 6:30 pm at the Avenida da Saudade Cemetery. The ceremony was marked by strong emotion, with the children’s mother visibly shaken during the farewell.
