Donald Trump threatens Iran with “very traumatic consequences” if there is no nuclear deal

Donald Trump said the United States would move into a particularly tough “phase two,” citing as an example the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities during the 12-day war started by Israel.

US President Donald Trump has threatened the Iranian regime with “very traumatic” consequences if it does not accept a deal on its nuclear program, which is expected to be concluded within a month.

“We need to reach an agreement, otherwise it will be very traumatic, very traumatic,” Trump said about negotiations with the Islamic Republic, at a press conference at the White House.

In the absence of an agreement, he added, the United States would move to “phase two”, which would be “very tough” for the Iranians.

Donald Trump once again pointed out as an example the US bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities during the 12-day war started by Israel in June.

Last year’s attacks targeted Iranian military officials, nuclear scientists and various locals, as well as residential areas in various parts of Iran. The United States joined the offensive by attacking three Iranian nuclear facilities.

Donald Trump has repeatedly warned Tehran of a potential US military response to authorities’ brutal repression of protests in major Iranian cities in early Januaryagainst the government’s management of the economic crisis, but also targeting the Islamic regime.
