Michelle joins the campaign on social networks and posts a photo with Ypê detergent

Post occurs after pro-Ypê campaign; opposition alleges, without evidence, that Lula government is persecuting the company

The former first lady (PL) posted on his this Saturday (May 9, 2026) a story showing a Ypê detergent. The post was made on the same day that opposition politicians started a campaign on social media in defense of the company.

The mobilization takes place after Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) determines the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of some of the brand’s products.

Publications shared by supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) claim, without providing evidence, that the government of (PT) would be using the agency to “chase” the company’s controllers.

The allegation is based on donations made by members of the Beira family, responsible for the company, to Bolsonaro’s campaign in 2022.

Data from the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) shows that Jorge Eduardo Beira, vice-president of operations, contributed R$500,000. In total, 3 family members donated R$1 million.

At the time, internet users opposed to Bolsonaro promoted campaigns to to the brand on social media.

Now, the movement has reversed: videos published on different platforms show consumers defending the company and encouraging the purchase of its products.
