Three ski tourers were hit by an avalanche near Airolo in the Leventina Valley in Swiss Ticino. Two of them were killed, as the Ticino cantonal police announced on Saturday. The fatalities are a 35-year-old living in Belgium and a 30-year-old German. The third person remained uninjured. The accident occurred on Friday around 2 p.m. between Pizzo Centrale and Pizzo Prevat.
