The Israeli army launched several attacks on Gaza early on Sunday, causing at least 10 fatalities, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. Israel has not commented on the offensive, but everything points to one reported on Saturday night, when a military statement warned of the incursion of “armed terrorists” into the part of the Strip controlled by Israel.
One of the main bombings took place west of the Yabalia refugee camp, in the north of the enclave, killing at least four people, according to hospital sources. The Palestinian Red Crescent raises the number of victims in that incident to six. In parallel, a shooting in Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, has caused five more deaths.

Witnesses on the ground say that Israeli drones have prevented medical teams from coming to the aid of the victims, which Gazan authorities put on Sunday at 601 since the start of the theoretical cessation of hostilities in October. Israel claims that four of its soldiers have been killed in Gaza during the same period.
According to a note released on Saturday by the Israeli army, a group of armed men infiltrated beyond the Yellow Line – which delimits half of the enclave in Israeli hands – and “hid in the rubble” in a position close to the Israeli army. Troops say they opened fire and killed at least two of the suspects, “who had most likely emerged from underground infrastructure.”
This Sunday, military sources cited by Reuters and the Israeli media Haaretz They justified the offensive as a “response” to the “flagrant aggression” of the previous day, which they attribute to Hamas, and assured that the hostilities have been “precise” and in line with international law.
The Administration of American Donald Trump designed a ceasefire in October that ended large-scale Israeli bombing and gave Israeli soldiers control of half of the enclave, from where they are expected to withdraw as progress is made in the disarmament of Hamas. Despite the agreement, Israeli authorities have not stopped applying military pressure on Gaza almost daily amid accusations crossed with Palestinian militias over the implementation of the ceasefire. According to the latest data from the Strip’s Health Ministry, at least 72,061 Gazans have died in the enclave due to the Israeli offensive since October 7, 2023, the day Israel suffered the largest attack in its recent history at the hands of Hamas.
