Health Minister Alexandre Padilha said that the “blackout” that was being experienced in Rio de Janeiro’s health sector was the responsibility of people with the surname “Bolsonaro”.
According to the minister, the press reported a situation in which a group “ruled the operation”, and that health was experiencing a scenario of “insufficient workforce, fraudulent contracts, blocked beds and overcrowding”.
“There was a situation, president, and there are several workers from the Cardoso Fontes hospital here who are witnesses of this, that workers from that hospital had to pay tolls to the militia that dominated the parking lot here at Cardoso Fontes in order to work and act”, stated the minister at the inauguration ceremony of the new 24-hour Emergency Center for children and adults at the Cardoso Fontes Federal Hospital, in Jacarepaguá, in Rio de Janeiro.
Opportunity with security!
Padilha states that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, present at the event, took a courageous decision to face for the first time a major plan to structure federal hospitals in Rio de Janeiro.
