Debutants, candidates make a complaint alongside deputies – 02/15/2026 – Panel

Pre-candidates for deputy have hitched a ride with allied politicians to sign complaints and file requests jointly with inspection and defense bodies, as a way of gaining visibility for the election. The strategy occurs from right to left.

“Natália and I have a long-standing partnership, which goes far beyond this fold that we are building. We met fighting in the MTST, treading on clay, occupying and fighting alongside our people”, says Ediane.

“We are also coming together to occupy institutional politics and continue this project of popular representation that is so important, whether there or here in Alesp”, continued the state deputy.

Veteran federal deputy Ivan Valente (PSOL-SP), who is expected to retire at the end of this year, has sent letters alongside Juliano Medeiros, former president of PSOL and his political heir, who will compete for a seat in the Chamber.

Medeiros was also Valente’s chief of staff and is expected to run this year with the deputy’s support. “My partnership with Ivan is almost 20 years old. It’s natural that we have joint initiatives, we are political activists who share the same causes”, says Medeiros.

Members of the MBL, state deputy Guto Zacarias, who is targeting the Chamber, and Renato Battista, pre-candidate for Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo), have already filed a de facto notice with the MPF asking for the investigation of the legality of the public company linked to the Brazilian Communications Company.

Candidate in 2022, Battista ended up as a substitute at Alesp. “I carry out actions together without judging the legal visibility, but it is necessary even given my number of votes, 54,551. I received more votes than many state elected officials”, says he, who is the national coordinator of the MBL.
