Roma community in tears: King Róbert Botoš († 54) succumbed to the effects of a stroke!

Acting Roma king Róbert Botoš died on Sunday (February 15) at the age of 54 in Košice. The information about the death was confirmed for TASR by Otto Brixi, an acquaintance of the deceased and former member of parliament.

The Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Roma communities expressed regret and sorrow over this report on the social network. He stated that Botoš died on Sunday evening at the East Slovak Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases. He had a stroke on Friday (February 13).

Botoš was crowned as the Roma king Róbert I in Košice on April 12, 2014. He identified his task as mainly unifying the Roma, but also returning the right values ​​to the communities and cooperating with those who help the Roma community. Numerous guests from Slovakia and abroad watched the ceremony in the House of Art. The golden crown was made especially for this occasion.
