From Niterói and fan of Unidos do Viradouro, Fernanda Bande is experiencing a new chapter in Carnival in 2026. The former BBB member makes her debut at Sapucaí as a highlight of Salgueiro, wearing a dragon costume, and spoke to CNN about her expectations for the big moment.
“Wonderful, right? It’s a debut. The dragon here, oh, setting fire to the avenue”, he said.
Despite the connection with Viradouro, Fernanda highlighted the affection and welcome she received in the red and white of Tijuca.
“They welcomed me, hugged me, it’s an incredible family. I’m in love with everyone who works here, the props, Dona Rita, along with the carnival attendant… Guys, what a family. I feel very honored to be part of it”, she said.
She also celebrated the school’s plot and tradition: “Debuting in a plot like this, from one of the greatest champions of… I’m still very happy to be representing our goddess who is there, shining and happy in life in heaven.”
