A São Paulo Civil Defense issued an alert for heavy rain this Wednesday (18) and Thursday (19), due to the passage of a cold front along the coast, which is expected to cause significant rainfall in the east of São Paulo.
According to the agency, this Wednesday will be marked by mild temperatures in much of the state and light to moderate rain in isolated points in the interior. Throughout the day, especially from the afternoon onwards, the forecast indicates rain showers accompanied by electrical discharges, strong gusts of wind e .
Instability should be more intense in the eastern band, where cloudiness tends to remain more persistent. Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology) also issued a warning for rain, valid from 10 am and continuing until 10 am on Thursday (19).
On Thursday (19), the forecast points to which may vary in intensity, also accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and the possibility of hail.
According to the state Civil Defense, meteorological models indicate high accumulatedmainly in the east of the state, which increases, tree falls e landslides in vulnerable areas.
On Friday (20), the day should start with sun among many clouds. The rise in temperatures, combined with high humidity, can favor the formation of isolated rain showers throughout the day, with special attention to the regions bordering Minas Gerais and the east of São Paulo, where there is also a risk of events associated with bad weather.
Civil Defense also advises the population to avoid shelter under trees during storms, not to cross flooded areas and to follow updates through official channels.
The teams from the State Civil Protection and Defense System continue to be permanently monitored and remain on standby to respond to any occurrences.
