Brazilian duo finishes 21st in cross-country skiing – 02/18/2026 – Sport

Brazilian skiers Bruna Moura and Eduarda Ribera finished their participation in the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games with 21st place in the women’s sprint team competition in cross-country skiing, at the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium.

As a result, the pair were left out of the final, to which only the 15 best classified advanced.

It was the country’s best performance in the competition. In their previous participation, in Beijing-2022, the duo formed by Eduarda Ribera and Jaqueline Mourão finished in 23rd position.

“21st is an excellent place, the best Brazil has ever had in a relay. It’s difficult, but it’s enjoyable. I’m happy that we had a good time in the race”, declared Bruna Moura after the competition.

The Brazilian duo completed the course with a combined time of 7min37s26, 22s95 behind the classification zone.

“I’m very happy to once again represent Brazil at the Olympic Games and in today’s event, it was Brazil’s best in doubles,” said Eduarda.

The two had made their debut in Milan-Cortina on the 10th, in the qualifying phase of the cross-country skiing free sprint. Eduarda Ribera came in 73rd place, while Bruna Moura finished in 76th place — only the 30 fastest advanced to the finals.

They competed again on the 12th, in the 10 km cross-country skiing. Bruna was 99th; Eduarda had problems along the way and didn’t finish.
