Brazil has faith in the sixth World Cup, but Ivete Sangalo is already a seven-time champion when it comes to being the Carnival singer! For the seventh time, the artist was elected the voice of the festivities and won the Bahia Folia Trophy, by public vote. In addition, she also won the Band Folia Award for best singer. On social media, Veveta celebrated the achievement and thanked her fans for their love.
On her Instagram profile, Ivete shared records of the awards amid this year’s intense Carnival marathon. In the caption, the owner of the song “Vampirinha” was thrilled with the achievement and thanked her fans in particular: “Always you!!! In everything, you!! Thank you for taking me to such incredible places with so much love and happiness. I do it with love and gratitude and you feel it”.

Veveta also expressed gratitude for the awards and the end of yet another party, which she considered unforgettable: “Pure magic! Thank you for this unforgettable carnival with you. Band Folia Best singer! What a beautiful award! Official Rede Bahia Best Music”, she cheered. It’s worth remembering that the artist started the marathon of shows very early, pulling off a pre-Carnival trio in both São Paulo and Rio.
When Carnival officially started, Ivete focused her agenda on Bahia. The singer led trios and made a series of performances between Saturday and Tuesday, in Salvador. The following weekend, she heads to Porto Seguro, where she is one of Carnaporto’s attractions.
