South Korea’s former president Yoon sentenced to life in prison

Seoul – South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol was sentenced to life in prison for declaring martial law in December 2024. The central district court in the capital Seoul found the 65-year-old guilty on Thursday of leading an uprising and thereby undermining the country’s constitution.
