Former goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert came to the defense of Gianluca Prestianni regarding the alleged racist insult that the Argentine directed at Vinicius Júnior, in the duel between Benfica and Real Madrid. The Paraguayan also criticized the Brazilian and his teammate Kylian Mbappé.
“I sympathize with , because Vinicius is the first to insult. If we look at the images, before that, he says ‘shit’, he’s always repeating it. . What can he say? He talks about values and all that, but he lives with a transvestite. That’s not normal. Everyone can do with their life what they want, but it’s not normal for a man to live with a transvestite. That’s why women exist. The best thing a man can have by his side is a woman,” Chilavert told Radio Rivadavia.
Idol of Vélez Sarsfield, Chilavert also questioned Vinicius for allegedly not using his voice to condemn what is happening in Brazil.
“Why do they want to sacrifice Prestianni in Spain? If the first insult came from Vinicius’ monkey side, which is black-skinned. 90 percent of Spain’s players are black and they never have problems and Vinicius has it with the whole world? Since Vinicius fights so hard against racism and discrimination… why doesn’t he go on Brazilian television and ask why the Brazilian police beat Argentine, Paraguayan or Uruguayan fans to death every time they go to Brazil? Are racism and discrimination only when they are against it?”

Chilavert also called on Prestianni to continue defending and stated that the young striker should play the second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“They have to protect the boy, why are they going to sanction Prestianni? If Prestianni is sanctioned, this gives rise to the fact that the gay, lesbian community and company are the example to follow, and no! Football is a rectangle where men play who used to say everything to each other. Since they put in microphones and more cameras, football is on fire”, he concluded.
