Ifac launches new library catalog and expands access to content for students

The Federal Institute of Acre (Ifac) announced the launch of “Cabib”, a new library management system that promises to facilitate student access to the academic collection.

According to the institution, the system was developed to be intuitive and integrative, allowing students and employees to more quickly find books, periodicals, teaching materials and other resources needed for studies and research. The proposal is to modernize services and make the search experience simpler and more efficient.

With Cabib, users will be able to check the availability of works, make reservations, monitor loans and access digital content without having to travel to the library, increasing autonomy and access to information.

The initiative also strengthens the teaching and learning process by integrating technology and knowledge management, ensuring that the entire academic community has up-to-date tools to support educational activities.

According to IFAC, the expectation is that the new system will contribute to optimizing the use of the collection and further encourage reading and scientific production among students.
