André Mountbatten-Windsor has been released under investigation, Thames Valley Police revealed in a statement. The police also concluded the search in Norfolk, in the east of England.
“Thames Valley Police are pleased to provide an update on the investigation into misconduct in public office. On Thursday, we arrested a man aged in his 60s, resident of Norfolk, on suspicion of misconduct in public office,” the statement read.
“The man arrested has been released under investigation. We can also confirm that our searches in Norfolk have concluded,” it added. This means that the investigation will continue.
Police searched Wood Farm, André’s home on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. In parallel, authorities also searched Royal Lodge, André’s former residence in Windsor.
It appears from the police statement that the searches in Berkshire will continue.
