The media freedom organization Reporters Without Borders came up with the idea of a free media policy in an FPÖ-ÖVP coalition a good year ago: three journalists from Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic report in Vienna about the scripts of autocratic governments to bring the media under their control. The Blue Chancellor has postponed for the time being, but the warning examples from the immediate neighborhood this Friday showed the possible consequences and the ways and means there.
