The man fled on foot and is being sought by police. Among the injured are two minors who needed to be hospitalized, one of which has already been discharged.
A video recorded by witnesses from a window shows the driver who ran over five people this Friday fleeing, on foot, on Rua Nova da Trindade, in Lisbon.
The man has already been identified by the PSP, but remains at large. He is seen running after letting go of the car that left the road, collided with a motorcycle and hit people in a crowded street.
The collision caused five injuries on Rua Nova da Trindade, in the Chiado region and the alert was given at 22:17.
Two younger girls were taken to Santa Maria Hospital with more serious injuries. One of them has already been discharged and the other is out of danger. The other three victims suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses at the scene say the suspect appeared to be drunk and armed with an object in his hand. The priority was to help the victims.
The suspect allegedly stole the car that was parked on the street and is already known by the PSP for being the author of other thefts.
