President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva participated this Saturday (21), in New Delhi, in the Brazil-India Business Forum 2026. During the event, Brazil formalized several partnerships with the Asian country. The meeting brought together authorities from both nations, business leaders and representatives of strategic sectors to discuss challenges and opportunities.
“Events like this boost national development and the advancement of innovative technologies. They also attract investments that generate opportunities and income for workers. The distance between Brazil and India is just a detail given the potential of our friendship”, highlighted the Brazilian leader.

“Prime Minister Modi and I have committed to working to reach US$ 20 billion in trade in a few years. It will not be a surprise if in 2030, instead of US$ 20 billion, we reach US$ 30 billion in trade between the two countries. We just have to go after it”, he stressed.
The competitiveness of Brazilian industry in sectors such as aeronautics and space was another point raised by President Lula. “We don’t just want to sell. We want to buy, invest and consolidate our presence in India, with technology transfer and personnel training. The agreements signed by Embraer with the Adani Group and Mahindra will enable the production of commercial and defense aircraft here in India”, he said.
Cooperations
In his speech, the Brazilian leader also indicated that there are countless opportunities in cutting-edge sectors – such as information technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and space exploration. “The Digital Partnership with India is the first of its kind signed by Brazil. It will bring together cooperation in artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and technology-based startups”, he stated.
Regarding the Cooperation agreement in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises signed this Saturday, 1Lula emphasized that it will support the exchange of experiences in a vital sector for job creation.
“You, businesswomen and businessmen, will be central to making these opportunities a reality. To paraphrase Prime Minister Indira Gandhi when visiting Brazil in 1968, the future does not arrive on its own – we need to desire it. Let’s get to work”, concluded President Lula.
Oncology medications
