The Winter Olympic Games in Milan – Cortina d’Ampezzo 2026 were the scene of the ceremonial release of the film Champion. The film, which tells the story of figure skating legend Ondrej Nepela, was screened in a preview on Wednesday, February 18, at the Slovak Olympic House – Casa Slovacca in Milan. “It symbolically linked film art with Olympic values,” writes the distribution company Continental film.
One of the most important characters in the film, the trainer Hilda Múdra, was played by Jana Nagyová. The actress personally attended the pre-premiere ceremony in Milan together with the representative of Nepal, Adam Kubal. She perceived the release of the film with subtle symbolism. “I was happy that I took part in the Winter Olympic Games in Milan even without placing. We didn’t go to win, we went to show. And that’s a big thing for Slovak film,” emphasized Nagyová.
On this occasion, the actress published pictures from Italy on the social network. Nagyová, who became famous for her role in her youth in the 1979 TV series Arabela, unconventionally, she also showed her husband, businessman Toni Pulmo, with whom she lived in Germany. Earlier this year, she revealed that they had moved to Switzerland, where they have even applied to be admitted to a luxury nursing home.
She is not going to retire yet and enjoys traveling with her husband. “The two of us are also “champions” and have been for over 25 years. We live in constant motion and at a high pace. Although without medals, but also with obstacles and injuries to our health,” during her shots, she referred to the title of the film that premiered at the venue of the Olympics.
Despite the difficult times, she tries to be positive. “But always with a smile on his face and a good mood. It also belongs to sports disciplines such as diligence, hard work, renunciation, endurance, tolerance, respect and fair play. The important thing is not to win, but to participate. The first Olympic Games in our life career. I hope we can take it even further and even higher. To the highest level of coexistence“, the actress wrote with hope.
