The ninth session of the resumed trial against Strabag regarding prohibited price fixing over a period of nine years also produced no result. Next March 11th both parties, the Federal Competition Authority (BWB) as the prosecutor and Austria’s largest construction company as the accused, are due to appear in court again. If talks about a settlement sought by Strabag do not bear fruit by then, the court will make a final decision on the case on June 2nd after further hearings of witnesses. The judge in charge announced this on Tuesday after almost two and a half hours of proceedings, from which the public was excluded for long stretches.
