Kslley Matheus de Queiroz, aged 25, monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet, was killed with several gunshots, and his friend, identified as João Wesley Rocha da Silva, aged 24, was seriously injured on Wednesday night (18). The crimes occurred in front of a block located on Rua Coelho Ramos, in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, in the Second District of Rio Branco.

According to police information, Kslley and João Wesley were sitting in front of the block’s gate when unidentified criminals approached in a red Gol model vehicle.
The suspects came down armed and fired several shots at the victims. João was shot in the left arm and, despite being injured, managed to run into an apartment. Kslley was shot several times in the chest and, in an attempt to escape, he managed to run to the backyard of the block, where he fell bleeding. After the action, the criminals fled the scene.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called, and the advanced support ambulance was sent. However, when paramedics arrived at the scene, they could do nothing for Kslley Matheus, who was already dead. João Wesley received first aid, was stabilized and taken to the Rio Branco emergency room, where his health status was considered stable.

Military police officers from the 2nd Battalion were at the scene, isolated the area for forensic work and then collected information and carried out patrols in the region in search of the perpetrators of the crimes, but they were not found.
After the end of the examination, Kslley Matheus’ body was removed and sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for cadaveric examinations.
According to police information, the motivation for the attack may be related to the war between criminal organizations, as Kslley had been released from prison around seven months ago.
The case is initially under investigation by agents from the Ready Employment Team (EPE) and, subsequently, will be under the responsibility of the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP).
