Former deputy, who has lived in the USA since 2025, was removed from his role at the PF in Angra dos Reis until the conclusion of a disciplinary process for abandoning his position
The Regional Internal Affairs Office of the Federal Police in Rio de Janeiro removed former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL) from his position as clerk at the Federal Police Station in Angra dos Reis. According to the UOLthe reason for absence is unjustified absences.
The removal is valid until the PAD (Disciplinary Administrative Process) established in January this year to analyze Eduardo’s absences is completed, the website reported. The former deputy has lived in the United States since February 2025.
Eduardo Bolsonaro’s removal was determined by the PF’s regional inspector through a decree signed on February 10, but published only this Thursday (26), to which the UOL had access. According to the portal, Eduardo has up to five business days to deliver the firearm and functional license.
Eduardo Bolsonaro is a civil servant at the Federal Police. . He had taken leave from his position to serve as federal deputy, but was revoked, also due to absences.
As he continued to live in the United States and did not present himself, the PF opened an administrative disciplinary process to analyze possible abandonment of his position — the same process that led to his removal now.
In September 2025, the Federal Police had already opened another PAD against Eduardo Bolsonaro to investigate his actions in the United States in defending the imposition of sanctions on Brazil. In this case, he was the target of a representation made by Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), current minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, then federal deputy for São Paulo.
