The , president of the CPI of , said that he will file a writ of mandamus with the (Supreme Federal Court), next week, if the president of , (-AP), does not support the group’s request for an extension.
In a letter sent to the Senate presidency, last Monday (23), Viana said that the application had already been submitted with a sufficient number of parliamentarians, meeting the regulatory requirements, for its renewal.
“In view of this, I request the adoption of the appropriate measures for the regular continuation of the request, with a view to formalizing the act of extending the CPI’s operating period for the required period”, wrote Viana.
He stated, however, this Thursday (26), that Alcolumbre has not spoken to him for a month and that he is running away from him “like the devil runs away from the cross”.
The presentation of the commission’s final report is scheduled for March 23rd, and should be completed on the 28th. Viana is trying to extend it for at least another 60 days.
Last week, he stated that the group has “the Constitution in our favor, but that the request has not even been filed yet to be read.”
“There is an internal administrative maneuver to prevent it from moving forward. We have the right for it to remain. I expected more cooperation,” he declared
