Former TV announcer Alena Heribanová (70) recently appeared at Fera Miklošek’s fashion show, where she exuded a good mood alongside her colleagues Sona Müllerová and former announcer Ada Straková. No one knew that he was going through a difficult period in his personal life. Two months ago, her best friend died unexpectedly, writes the newspaper.
She talked about the fact that her friend is struggling with health problems already in December during the launch of a children’s book written by her daughter Tamara Šimončíková Heribanová. When asked what Christmas looks like in their family, she got emotional.
“Every Christmas Eve we light the candles at the ceremonially laid table and then go out into the garden. There in the iron basket we will light the wood for those who are already up there. And in the meantime, I’ll be thinking a lot about my best friend of many years,” described their tradition by the presenter, who could not resist her emotions.
With tears, she then added that her friend is in the hospital, where she is fighting for her life. At the time, she was in a coma and her chances of survival were slim. She eventually lost her fight. She didn’t even live to see the year 2026. She had her funeral before Christmas.
As Heribanová stated, the disease had a rapid course. “It was so strong, fast and hopeless that I myself was surprised how a person can leave so quickly in the 70s,” she said at the World Cancer Day event for the marquee show Smotánka.
