The evening of Wednesday, February 25, in Prague’s Lucerne was marked by a festive screening. The film Unexpected Summer premiered with stars like Barbora Poláková, Jordan Haj, Linda Rybová, Jiří Vyorálek, Zuzana Mauréry, Jaroslav Dušek, Petr Čtvrtníček, Leoš Noha, Tomáš Klus.
The film by director Milan Cieslar is about the fact that no adult plans can resist children’s ingenuity. Denisa’s (Barbora Poláková) carefully planned trip to the Italian coast ends at a remote Czech campsite. Her two children quickly find their way to Peter (Jordan Haj), who manages several forest cabins in the romantic corner of Svatojánské proudy. Together with the children of the large Petrás family, they not only experience unexpected holiday adventures, but also successfully thwart their departure and Denisa’s life plan.
The film was premiered by a Czech musician, screenwriter and actor Jordan Haj. He was supported by his partner Emma Smetana, who is a well-known singer and actress, along with their adorable daughters Lennon Marlene and Ariel Ava. You can find a PHOTO of the beautiful family in the gallery.
One of the main protagonists of the film Jordan Hair spoke for the musician Teri Čikoš. The well-known Czech artist admitted that he was a little nervous before the premiere, because it was his second premiere in a short time and a bigger role. His new song Blíž will be heard in the film with his partner Emma Smetana. How was it created and what did it mean to him?
“That was very interesting, because it’s a commissioned song. It’s actually a song for the movie. And we started composing and writing it before the shooting started. Or when it started shooting. So it doesn’t reflect the filmed movie. The movie seen. It actually reflects the text script. If I speak for myself, it reflects how I perceived what it was going to be about. Or one of the themes that I found prominent in that movie. And Emma. Musically, it actually lives up to what it is, too. It’s a folk song that’s easier to play around a campfire. These are all things we don’t normally do,” zoomed in by Jordan Haj.
Unlike many of their songs, it is in Czech and is not so serious, on the contrary. It should have been positive. That’s why he emphasizes that there were many tasks waiting for them and the main thing – so that it doesn’t turn out badly. “Not to write something that’s stupid. And to write something that’s easy. It’s actually not easy. For a person like me, who picks up a guitar, a kind of requiem is created. In the sense that I can’t write cheerfully. So at once this thing was such a challenge for us. And it was nice. People accept it nicely and are happy about it,” explained the well-known artist.
