Israel issued evacuation orders, in the early hours of Tuesday (3), for dozens of settlements and villages in southern Lebanon, while attacks against Hezbollah continue to take place in the region.
Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee listed 50 villages and settlements in a post on X, urging residents to leave their homes. “They are forcing the Israel Defense Forces to take strong action against him, and we have no intention of harming them,” he said.
The order ordered affected residents to remain at least 1,000 meters from their villages, warning that anyone close to them would be “putting their lives at risk”.
Adraee also reiterated an evacuation order for the Haret Hreik neighborhood, located in southern Beirut, and issued a new alert for a second nearby suburb.
On Monday morning (2), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) published a similar evacuation order for 52 settlements.
Despite a United in November 2024, Israel continues to attack targets in Lebanon, citing alleged violations by Hezbollah — allegations the group denies.
