The United States on Tuesday ordered the evacuation of family members and non-essential personnel from diplomatic missions in Bahrain and Jordan. Washington has already taken a similar step in Iraq, while the embassy in Kuwait remains completely closed after previous attacks.
The US State Department announced on Tuesday that it had ordered its diplomats and their families in Bahrain and Jordan to leave the countries unless their presence there is essential. The US Embassy in Kuwait has confirmed that it remains closed until further notice due to the fighting with Iran. TASR informs about it according to AFP reports.

Limited diplomatic activity
In a post on Platform X, the Department of Foreign Affairs said it had updated travel advisories for both Bahrain and Jordan “to reflect the ordered departure of non-essential personnel and family members of government employees.”
Washington took the same step in Iraq on Monday. In an updated travel advisory, the department said it had “directed non-essential U.S. government employees to leave Iraq for security reasons.”
The embassy in Kuwait “cancelled all regular and emergency consular appointments” on Tuesday and will keep you posted on further developments. On Monday morning, black smoke rose from the embassy building after a series of Iranian attacks. The embassy therefore urged people not to enter its premises and to hide at home.
The fourth day of the conflict
The United States confirmed on Tuesday that the US embassy in Riyadh was hit by two drones, causing a small fire. “Due to the attack on the embassy, avoid it until further notice,” the embassy said in a statement.
The US is recalling its diplomats and closing embassies in response to ongoing fighting in the Middle East and Iran’s retaliatory attacks against the Israeli-American operation that began on Saturday. On Tuesday, the conflict entered its fourth day.
