Stefania Brunori Breva, a businesswoman who has lived in the Emirates for 17 years, is not experiencing first-hand the conflict that has been unleashed since this weekend in the region “by the skin of her teeth.” He was in Dubai last week, but at “living between two worlds” He was able to return before the closure of the airspace to his native Castelló, where he will spend the Magdalena festivities to return to his adopted country “as soon as possible.”
The woman from Castellón affirms that the population of Dubai, with whom she is in permanent contact, is leading a “half-normal life. The supermarkets are stocked, but the schools have closed for a couple of days, the notices on the telephones are continuous and there is a hum that denotes that The current situation is different from anything that has been experienced until now.“Despite the obvious problems that the current difficult situation brings with it, Stefania adds that the country of the Emirates “knows how to manage crises very well and will emerge stronger from this.”
His balcony in Dubai, he reveals, faces the Gulf, but he insists that, based on his recent experience, the perceived risk does not translate into panic. “The air defense system is brutal. They have launched more than 150 missiles and more than 500 drones and between 95 and 98% have been intercepted“, he assures, while clarifying that “there are no direct attacks on the population, but there are remains of those that are intercepted that have caused three deaths.”
Despite this, Stefania does reveal some of the instructions that her neighbors are receiving: “We are asked to move away from the windowsthat if possible we do not walk down the street, let us work remotely and do not share images that could provoke unfounded fears on social networks.” That is why it affects “the tranquility of the population because the Government has everything very controlled.”
The Castellón native, who in both Dubai and Castelló is a “marketing specialist, personal brand strategist, wellness entrepreneur and leadership coach with more than 20 years of experience”, wants to return to the Middle East despite the conflict: “The current geopolitical situation is tense because there are many interests, but Emirates is capable of reinventing itself in the face of problems and I am seeing a lot of unity in the population.”
