Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo – The Austrian Paralympic Committee (ÖPC) announced its flag bearers at the opening of the XIV Paralympics in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo on Tuesday. However, Veronika Aigner and Markus Salcher will not be present at the celebration in the Arena di Verona on Friday, but will be joining in from Cortina. The duo will be taking part in the descent the following day, so they wanted to save the athletes the approximately six hours of travel time there and back.
