The organizations also asked the minister for a hearing to present studies produced by experts on the topic.
The president of the STF has not yet responded to the entities’ requests. This Tuesday, (3) the composition of the group was announced, with representatives from the Judiciary and Executive Powers, National Congress, Attorney General’s Office, Federal Audit Court and Federal Public Defender’s Office.
At first, civil society, academia and experts will only be able to participate by offering technical input.
The organizations state, however, that the role of civil society must be to contribute effectively to the work, including as a counterpoint to interested parties.
