Kitchens in fast-food restaurants are not generally suspected of being particularly relaxed places to work. Burger King is now taking a measure that probably won’t detract from the hustle and bustle. While the employees are flipping burgers and salting fries, a friendly but artificial voice whispers in your ear that the slices of bacon on the “Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper” are running low. The same voice also registers your every word to the customer. Did you say please? Was the “thank you” warm enough?
