The president () made a kind of vote request during an event on Tuesday night (3), in São Paulo.
During his speech, he listed positive data from his management in the field of technology and said he was a “very lucky” guy. The president often mocks critics who attribute the positive economic results of his administration to luck.
“We have the lowest unemployment in the history of Brazil. We have the highest growth in the wage bill. We have the highest exports in the history of Brazil, the highest agricultural production. All this because I am lucky.”
He continued: “So, prepare yourselves. When the election comes, vote for those who are lucky. Because those who are unlucky can’t go anywhere.”
The president, who will run for re-election in October, participated in the National Labor Conference, in an event that was attended by the Minister of Finance, (PT), and the vice-president, ().
Electoral legislation imposes restrictions on advertising in the so-called pre-campaign and prohibits explicit requests for votes. Electoral propaganda will only be permitted after August 16th, when candidacies have already been registered with .
