Israel accuses Iran of launching a new wave of missiles towards its territory
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) assured this Wednesday that they have identified missiles launched from Iran towards its territory, on the fifth day of war since the offensive against the Persian country launched by the Government of Benjamin Netanyahu and the United States on Saturday.
The Israeli emergency services reported no impacts, although they assured that their “defensive systems are operational to intercept the threat,” according to a statement published on their Telegram account.
The IDF reported sending an alert to mobile phones in the affected areas, without specifying which ones, so that citizens “enter a protected space and remain there until further notice.”
The Magen David Adom, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross, did not report any fatalities, but reported that its doctors “went out to treat several wounded people on the way to the protected area and victims of anxiety.”
The IDF has warned of at least three Iranian missile incursions into its airspace throughout the night, while also announcing launching a new wave of attacks against Iran.
The Israeli Army has carried out 1,600 air raids and launched 4,000 bombs in the last four days of the offensive against Iran, more than those launched in the so-called twelve-day war in June 2025, military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani reported yesterday in a conference with the international press.
