Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, threatened this Wednesday (4) to kill the Iran’s next supreme leader, regardless of who is chosen for the role.

“Any leader appointed by the Iranian terrorist regime to continue and command the plan to destroy Israel, threaten the United States and the free world and countries in the region and repress the Iranian people will be a target for elimination,” said Katz, in a publication on X.

On Saturday (28), the attack launched by United States and Israel killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who until then was the supreme leader of Iran. On Tuesday (3), Israeli forces bombed a building that usually houses meetings of the Assembly of Experts, responsible for choosing the new supreme leader.

The Iranian regime reported, however, that the property was empty and that the meeting of the 88 ayatollahs who are part of the Assembly of Experts would be held virtually.
