The Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro published, this Wednesday (4), the resignation of José Carlos Costa Simonin of the position of Undersecretary of Governance and Management. , 18 years old, investigated by the Civil Police for 17 years, in Copacabana. The decision appears in the Official State Gazette.
Vitor Hugo, after presenting himself at the police station with a lawyer. The crime took place on January 31, in an apartment in Copacabana, in the south zone of Rio.
According to investigations, the victim was attracted to the apartment by a schoolmatea 17 year old teenager. Upon arriving at the building and noticing the presence of four other men of legal age, the young woman refused to get involved with them, but even so, was taken and locked in a room. At the scene, according to police, the suspects forced to have sexual intercourse e subjected her to serious physical violence e psychological.
The Civil Police identified and indicted the five involved (four adults and one minor). The court issued preventive arrest warrants for the adults and apprehension for the teenager. Before Vitor, two other suspects had already surrendered to the police on Tuesday (03): Mattheus Verissimo Zoel Martins, aged 19, and João Gabriel Xavier Berthô, also aged 19. The latter is a football player and had his logo after the case came to light.
A fourth adult, identified as Bruno Felipe dos Santos Allegretti, aged 18, remains at large. He is a student of Environmental Sciences at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Unirio), which has already banned him from attending classes and social spaces at the institution.
Efforts are still underway to locate the last fugitive adult and the teenage offender. Due to new reports, the police station opened two new investigations to investigate possible previous crimes committed by those investigated.
