District deputy Fábio Félix (PSOL) appealed to the Federal District and asked for legal action to prevent the GDF from using (Banco de Brasília).
The request was filed one day later as a guarantee for a possible loan to the state bank.
The land listed by the parliamentarian is owned by Terracap, called “Gleba A” and which is in the region known as Serrinha do Paranoá, an environmental protection area.
In the document, the deputy recalls that the area is in a sensitive region of the Lake Paranoá basin and is home to springs, for example.
“This is a strategic area for ecological connectivity, which guarantees gene flow of fauna and flora, especially rare, endemic and threatened species,” he said in the document.
The request also states that the authorization given by CLDF to sell the land is “unequivocally harmful to the environment”.
The deputy wants the MPDFT to open a procedure to investigate environmental risks related to Gleba A, order the GDF to remove the land from the list and take legal action to prevent the area from being affected “until full environmental and registration instruction”.
