Casa do Sal, in Castro Marim, will host next Saturday the second edition of the Eurocidade do Guadiana Women Entrepreneurs Fair, an initiative that aims to encourage female entrepreneurship in cross-border regions.
According to Eurocidade do Guadiana, the event aims to promote contact between businesswomen and create opportunities for collaboration between projects developed in the Algarve and Andalusia, functioning as a space for sharing experiences and business ideas.

According to the organization, Castro Marim thus serves as a meeting point between the two regions, becoming the “epicenter of female entrepreneurship between the Algarve and Andalusia on International Women’s Day, serving as a fundamental space for promoting business synergies between the two regions, and in particular between the municipalities surrounding the mouth of the Guadiana river”.
Event integrates cross-border project
The fair is part of the EURES Transborder Andalusia-Algarve project, an initiative that seeks to stimulate labor and business mobility in the border region.
According to the organization, this platform aims to reinforce cooperation between neighboring territories and encourage the creation of collaboration networks between entrepreneurs.
In this sense, the event will be attended by several women entrepreneurs, as well as entities and organizations that support female entrepreneurship.
Exhibition and workshops dedicated to entrepreneurship
The fair will be open to the public between 10:00 and 13:00 and will allow you to learn about different business projects developed by women.
The exhibition area will have several stands, while the program also includes workshops and presentations, aimed at publicizing initiatives and opportunities linked to female entrepreneurship.
According to Eurocidade do Guadiana, initiatives of this nature aim to reinforce cooperation between territories and boost the local economy.
The entity recalls that “initiatives like this, in addition to promoting the revitalization of the region, aim to encourage business exchange and cross-border mobility”.
She also adds that, in recent years, together with the EURES Transborder Andalusia-Algarve project, she has developed several initiatives aimed at promoting female entrepreneurship, including trade fairs and networking events aimed at female entrepreneurs.
